Dear Wicomico County Council Members,

I urge you to exercise your authority to terminate the lease agreement between Wicomico County and Live Wire Media, LLC and cancel the planned "Safari at the Quarry" off-road events to be held at the future Connelly Mill Park site. These actions are justified because: (1) the County Executive has disregarded State-mandated public notice and public hearing requirements, (2) Live Wire Media is in substantial breach of the lease agreement, and (3) the City of Salisbury has determined that the events are not a public use, thus violating the zoning ordinance in this residentially zoned district. Please bring a swift end to these environmentally destructive events and fulfill the long awaited promise of developing Connelly Mill Park for the benefit of all Wicomico County citizens.

Dear Mayor Taylor and Salisbury City Council,

I urge you to take immediate action to enforce Salisbury's zoning ordinance by seeking injunctive relief to stop Live Wire Media, LLC from holding the planned "Safari at the Quarry" events at the site of the future Connelly Mill Park. As determined by the Salisbury City Attorney, use of the land by a for-profit corporation as a private off-road track is not a public use, thus violating the zoning ordinance within this residentially zoned district. The fines for zoning violations are minimal and are unlikely to discourage Live Wire Media from holding the events. As such, a court order is the only effective means of ensuring zoning code compliance and bringing these environmentally destructive events to an end. Please enforce the law equally and help to fulfill the long-awaited promise of Connelly Mill Park for all residents of Salisbury and Wicomico County.

Dear County Executive Giordano,

I hereby express my strongest opposition to the "Safari at the Quarry" off-road events scheduled to take place at the future Connelly Mill Park site. Acting alone, you executed a lease with Live Wire Media allowing these private events to be held without public notice or hearings as required by State law. You have encouraged Live Wire Media to violate Salisbury's zoning ordinance by holding private, for-profit events serving no public purpose within a residentially- zoned district. You have ignored Live Wire Media's many breaches of the lease, including use of a contractually excluded parcel. You have disregarded the advice of your advisory committees to develop a public park and preserve the ecologically valuable site upon which the events are to take place. Therefore, I request that you immediately cancel the Safari at the Quarry events, terminate the lease, protect the event site's natural resources from unnecessary harm, and restore funding for Connelly Mill Park.
